Getting started at the Mooney Lab is easy. You’ll need to begin by reading the Bucknell Makerspace User Agreement. After reading the User Agreement you need to complete the Bucknell Makerspaces Access Training Module which includes watching a brief video and taking a short quiz.
The quiz will be graded automatically, and if you pass the quiz with a score of 100% you’ll automatically be added to the Mooney Lab and Maker-E access lists and will be able to enter these spaces 24/7 using your Bucknell ID card. If you do not score 100% on the quiz you’ll need to retake the quiz until you score 100%.
Training on equipment is available from student technicians during the evening hours. You can be trained on or request assistance with any of the equipment in the Mooney Lab. Hardware-specific training is required for the laser cutter, 3D printers, and drill press.
